Based on a joint initiative between the universities that are part of the NEW SPACE PORTUGAL program, the 1st Space Education Summit will take place in April, an unprecedented meeting to discuss the current state and future of Aerospace education in Portugal.  The summit will start on the 15th of April at 14h and end on the 16th of April at 13h.

The conference – organized by the University of Aveiro, FEUP – Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, University of Minho, University of Beira Interior, IST – Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Évora, Nova SBE – School of Business and Economics and the Portuguese Air Force Academy – takes place at a particularly relevant time, marked by the creation, in recent years, of new Aerospace courses in national universities.

Aimed at students and professionals in the sector, the 1st Space Education Summit will be a space for sharing and debating the challenges and opportunities of this growing industry, whose impact will transform society in multiple dimensions, from Sustainability to Security and Defense, among other critical areas.

Partindo de uma iniciativa conjunta entre as universidades que integram o programa NEW SPACE PORTUGAL, realiza-se em abril a 1ª Space Education Summit, um encontro inédito para debater o estado atual e o futuro da educação Aeroespacial em Portugal. O evento inicia-se dia 15 de abril às 14h e termina dia 16 de abril às 13h.

A conferência – organizada pela Universidade de Aveiro, FEUP – Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, Universidade do Minho, Universidade da Beira Interior, IST – Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Évora, Nova SBE – School of Business and Economics e Academia da Força Aérea – acontece num momento particularmente relevante, marcado pela criação, nos últimos anos, de novos cursos de Aeroespacial nas universidades nacionais.

Dirigido a estudantes e profissionais do setor, a 1ª Space Education Summit será um espaço de partilha e debate sobre os desafios e oportunidades desta indústria em ascensão, cujo impacto transformará a sociedade em múltiplas dimensões, desde a Sustentabilidade à Segurança e Defesa, entre outras áreas críticas.
